St. Patrick's Day Crafts

I didn't really plan to post anything today. But then K ended up sick.  Not horribly, I have to lay on the couch all day sick, but low grade fever, runny nose and my cheeks are pink sick.  Sick enough to not go to school, but well enough to be bored at home all day.  It is my most favorite kind of day as a stay at home mom.  AAAAHHH!!!  So, I had planned some St. Patrick's Day crafts for this weekend and we just moved them up a few days, for everyone's sanity.

Leprechaun Beard

Both kids loved this craft.  You'll need construction paper, a pencil or pen, tap or glue, and a piece of yarn.  Start by placing the paper around your child's face so you know where to cut out the mouth hole.  Cut that piece out and then cut out lots of strips of construction paper.  Take each strip, one by one, and wrap them around a pencil.  This give them the curl.  Then tape or glue onto beard.  Use a hole punch to put a hole on each side to thread the string through to tie it to your child's face.

Aren't my models cute?

Shamrock Forest

This one you will need coffee filters, green markers, a spray bottle full of water, glue and some construction paper.  Have your child color the coffee filters any way they would like.  Then cut out shamrock shapes from them.  Spritz with water and let dry.  Glue shamrocks to the construction paper for your forest.
